- अल्पज्ञ लोगों ने यह भ्रान्ति फैला दिया है कि रत्नाकर लुटेरा मरा मरा जप कर प्रभु को पा लिया और वाल्मीकि ऋषि बन गया। चौपाई इस प्रकार है -
- Reverse name japat jagna jaana Balmik Bhai Brahma Samna .. People say that Balmiki was such a big sinner that Rama could not speak Rama, he became equal to Brahm by speaking dead.
- उलटा नाम जपत जग जाना। बालमिक भए ब्रह्म सामना।। लोग कहते हैं कि बाल्मीकि इतना बड़ा पापी था कि राम राम नहीं बोल पाता था, मरा मरा बोलकर ब्रह्म समान हो गया।
- The thing to understand is that whoever can speak speech, then why can't he speak speech. Secondly, when a great sinner can attain Brahm by speaking dead, then why are we not able to attain Brahma even by speaking Rama Rama. While we are not that big a sinner either. All this is an illusion spread due to ignorance.
- समझने की बात यह है कि जो कोई - म रा बोल सकता है, तो वह रा म क्यों नहीं बोल सकता है। दूसरी बात यह कि जब एक बड़ा पापी मरा मरा बोलकर ब्रह्म को प्राप्त कर सकता है तो हम राम राम बोलकर भी ब्रह्म को प्राप्त क्यों नहीं कर पाते हैं। जबकि हमलोग उतने बड़े पापी भी नहीं हैं। ये सब अज्ञानता के कारण फैलाया गया भ्रम है।
- The real thing is that the voice of Rama, which we speak, rises from the navel and hugs and comes out of the mouth, it is called Bakhri Vani. This is called a descriptive name or direct name. There is another name which is its reverse leading downwards from the brain. It is a phonetic name, which is called ॐakar sound, Adinād, abstract word or Ramnam. It cannot be spoken. It is heard through meditative nad meditation.This is the reverse name, which combines with God. Balmiki received God through this meditation. Saying Rama Rama by mouth, no Brahman can be the same. Further practices have to be done. Guru Nanak Dev Ji has said that by chanting Hari Naam and meditating on Hari Naam, this will flee your sorrows and Yamdoot will scare you. Like - Hari Japi Naam Dhiyya Tu, Jam Darapai Dukha Bhagu.
- Naad means the word. Dhyanvindu has come in the Upanishads-
- वास्तविक बात यह है कि हमलोग जो राम बोलते हैं, वह आवाज नाभि से उठकर गले होकर मुख से निकलती है, इसे बैखरी वाणी कहते हैं। यह वर्णनात्मक नाम या सीधा नाम कहलाता है। एक दूसरा नाम है जो इसका उल्टा मस्तिष्क से नीचे की ओर अग्रसर होता है। यह धवन्यात्मक नाम है, जिसे ॐकार ध्वनि, आदिनाद, सार शब्द या रामनाम कहते हैं। यह बोला नहीं जा सकता। इसे साधक नाद ध्यान के द्वारा अंतर में सुनते हैं। यही वह उल्टा नाम है , जो परमात्मा से मिलाता है। बाल्मीकि जी ने इसी ध्यान के द्वारा ईश्वर को प्राप्त किया था। मुँह से राम राम कहकर कोई ब्रह्म समान नहीं हो सकता है। इसके आगे और भी साधनाएँ करनी पड़ती हैं। गुरु नानकदेव जी ने कहा है कि हरि नाम का जाप कर और हरि नाम का ध्यान कर, इससे तेरे दुख भाग जाएंगे और यमदूत तुमसे डरेगा। यथा - हरि जपि नाम धियाय तू, जम डरपै दुख भागु।।
